# What can I do with Waives?

You can use Waives on Public Managed portfolios or Alternative Investments, like private equity, venture capital, or real estate, offered through Arta.

Waives only apply to Arta management or incentive fees. They do not cover fees charged by the fund managers or issuers of certain investments - check the fund details in the app to learn more.

Recipients of Waives will have 60 days from the time they create their account or receive Waives (for existing accounts) to put their Waives to work. Once they do, they won’t incur any fees from Arta up to the amount Waived on applicable investments for 1 year.
