Welcome to Your Arta Tax Center. Your one-stop hub for everything you need this tax season. From document timelines to FAQ, we’re here to make tax filing as smooth as possible.

1. What to Expect

Public Market Investments (Form 1099)

  • Availability: January 28 – March 11, 2026

  • Pending Notices: If final data isn’t ready, you’ll receive a ‘Pending 1099 Notice’ by February 15, 2026, explaining which securities are pending and when to expect the completed 1099.

  • High Yield Cash Reserve and Income Bonds: If you were invested in either of these portfolios in 2025, BNY | Pershing, Arta’s broker-dealer and custodian, has made a supplemental tax tool available that can assist in determining whether income generated from your Arta investments is tax-exempt. This information for tax year 2025 should be available by mid-March 2026. Below are the instructions to access the tool:

  • Step 1: Access the Tax Supplemental Information Tool here

  • Step 2: Enter your Arta account number

  • Step 3: Enter 232 under the IP#

  • Step 4: Enter the last four digits of your tax ID#, leave 2025 as the defaulted tax year

  • You can provide this information to your tax preparer along with the 1099 statements that can be accessed in the Important Documents section of your Arta account.

Private Investments

  • Open-End Private Investments (Form 1099):

    • Available by mid-March 2026

  • Open-End Private Investments (Schedule K-1):

    • Available by mid-March 2026

  • Closed-end Private Investments (Form 1099)

    • Available mid to late February 2026

  • Closed-End Private Investments (Schedule K-1):

    • Available March - September 2026 (varies by fund). Please reference your Tax Checklist for 2026 expected Schedule K-1 delivery dates by fund.

Important Note: In some instances funds may produce Schedule K-1 after the tax filing deadline on April 15, 2026. In this event, those funds generally provide an estimated K-1 by the beginning of April 2026. We recommend discussing tax filing extensions with your tax advisor. Please note: If your investments didn’t generate taxable income exceeding $10, you may not receive a Form 1099.

3. Your Tax Checklist

Please refer to your personalized tax document checklist email sent on February 2, 2026 from membership@artafinance.com for a list of your expected tax documents and estimated timelines for receipt.  If you are unable to locate your email, please reach out to us at membership@artafinance.com.

Disclosure: All timelines and documents listed are estimates intended to help you plan, are based on current projections, and are subject to change without notice at the sole discretion of the fund manager. The inclusion or exclusion of any document on this checklist does not guarantee whether a tax document will be issued for a given year. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have all tax documents relevant to your account(s). Nothing in this communication should be construed as a guarantee of any particular schedule or document. If you believe you did not receive a tax document required for any holding in your account, or believe there is an error in reporting on a document you did receive, please contact membership@artafinance.com. If your investments did not generate more than $10 in taxable income, a Form 1099 may not be issued.

4. FAQs

Why haven’t I received my 1099?

  • You might not have generated taxable income above $10 this year.  If you believe that you should have a 1099 and the document is missing, please contact us at membership@artafinance.com.

What do I do with a Pending 1099 Notice?

  • This notice lists securities still awaiting issuer data. The final 1099 will be sent as soon as all data is processed.

Why are some documents delayed?

  • Certain documents, such as K-1s, require additional time for fund managers to finalize. They are typically issued within 120 days of year-end, though K-1s for some closed-end private investments may arrive later in the year. We’ll notify you as soon as they’re available in your Arta app.

How do I share my documents with my CPA or tax preparer?

  • All documents can be downloaded directly from the Arta app in PDF format, making them easy to email or upload to your tax preparer’s portal.

Do I need to file U.S. taxes if I’m a Singapore-based investor?

  • Generally, Singapore tax residents don't have to file US taxes. Withholding tax on US-sourced income is automatically applied at the source so there is no action required on your behalf. Reimbursements under the Qualified Interest Income rule are also handled by Arta’s broker-dealer and custodian, BNY Pershing.

Can Arta provide tax advice?

  • Arta does not currently offer tax services or advice.

What happens if I notice an error on my tax forms?

  • If you believe there’s an issue with your tax documents, contact us at membership@artafinance.com immediately, and we’ll work with our partners to investigate and resolve it.

Do I need to act on estimated K-1s?

  • Estimated K-1s are provided for informational and estimated tax payment purposes and should be provided to your tax professional.

What tax documents are needed for High Yield Cash Reserve?

  • Arta’s broker-dealer and custodian BNY | Pershing will provide supplemental information that will help you file your taxes.

  • Please note that this information is not available on your 1099, which is a federal tax document.

Can I access past-year tax documents in the app?

  • Yes, historical tax documents are stored in the Arta app under Important Documents > Tax Documents for easy reference.

How will I know if I need to file an extension?

  • If your tax documents are delayed (e.g., K-1s), we recommend consulting your tax advisor to determine if filing an extension is necessary.
